1. Book Navigation

Book resources are similar the the Page resource. Actually a book is a collection of pages with navigation added to switch between pages. The welcome message at the top of the course page is an example of a page resource. The book resource works the same as a page resource. When the activity is clicked the first page of the book is displayed in the modal. Links appear at the top and the bottom of the modal to the next page. Clicking these links loads the content of the next page into the modal.

Follow the link to the next page of this resource.

2. Page content

Page resources and Book pages can contain media content pictures, video, H5P embedding, etc. These can be attached files, links to external resources, or inserted by means of a text filter. When content is loaded into the modal, it is filter as it would be when displayed on the module's view page. Any script required by the pages are also processed. So any content that is normally allowed on a Page resources is also able to be displayed in the modal.

3. Files and External Resources

Individual files or links to external files are included on the course page. Clinking these modules will load the file into the modal if it is able to be displayed. Images and videos will displayed in the modal. HTML will be display within a frame in the modal. An option to download the resource is also displayed for server files.

A folder resource like the Beach Birds example contains a group of files. The file directory appears in the modal. Clicking and individual file loads that file as if it were and individual file resource.
